The members of the Alexandria Police Department would like to invite the citizens of Alexandria to participate in our 3rd CSI Citizens Academy date and time to be announced. The objective of this program is to allow citizens to learn about and observe firsthand the workings of their police department’s criminal investigation unit. Participants will be instructed by members of the department in variety criminal scene techniques. These subjects will be taught in various settings and will include hands-on experience. The key to the success of this program is the enthusiasm and participation that the citizens bring to our CSI Citizens Academy. The CSI Citizens Academy will be held at the Alexandria Police Department, 8236 West Main Street, Alexandria, KY 41001 once a week for six to eight weeks. The sessions run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Some classes may be held at other locations. Each student will be able to participate in a ride-along with an officer during their patrol. We would like all students to attend every class but do understand that sometimes this isn't possible. In order for students to graduate, they must not miss more than two classes.
