Hello. I am Sgt. Kevin Mathews. I have been with the Alexandria Police Department since September 1999, and was promoted to Sergeant in 2006.
A little of my background: I began my policing career out of Houston, Texas, where I grew up. I graduated Class of 1989 from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, TX, with a Bachelor Degree in Law Enforcement & Police Science. I worked for the City of Houston PD before moving on to the Rice University Police until 1995. My wife's graduate studies led to our re-location to northern Kentucky. I spent approximately 3 1/2 years with NKU DPS before being hired on with the APD.
