The City of Alexandria is hiring a reliable part-time worker for our Community Center.  Position requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and must be able to manage heavy lifting.  Applications will be accepted until Friday, November 21, 2014.  Contact Clerk’s Office for more information 859-635-4125.

CAMPBELL COUNTY CLEAN-UP:  Oct. 24, 25, 26, Fri. & Sat. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sun. 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.  This is a large item disposal event, which takes place at the Transportation Dept., Pendery Park, and Campbell Co. Police Station.  Only at the Transportation Dept. will they accept additional items of scrap metal, car batteries, appliances, electronics, tiries and propane tanks.  For large items (like boats), please call in advance.  No paint or any liquids will be accepted.  For questions, call 859-547-1802.

Hello and welcome to Alexandria!

Alexandria is a great place to live, work, or shop. We’re just about 30 minutes from downtown Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky International Airport, less than that to great shopping, either at regional malls or our own Village Green Shopping Center. Of course, Alexandria has dozens of specialty retailers and good restaurants as well.

Our school systems, both public and private, are among the best. We’re just 15 minutes from Northern Kentucky University and within easy commuting distance of the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Thomas More College, just to name a few of the educational opportunities.

And with all of that going for us, perhaps the best and most amazing thing is we’re still enjoying a laid back, almost rural community with friendly neighbors and beautiful vistas.

Our tag line “Where the City meets the Country” is not just a slogan. It really captures the idea that we have every amenity available to us, but we can escape to the peace and quiet just by coming home.
